CAPTAINS
A-Grade
Noah Scott
Noah joined the club just last season and made an immediate impact as a brilliant opening batter! By the seasons end Noah was our 2nd highest A Grade run scorer, runner-up in the Club Champion award, and a handy contributor with his right arm off-spin. Off the field, he is a hard worker, a team-first clubman, and always up for a cold beer. Overall Noah is a top bloke who’s become a key part of the Mariners family in just one year.
On the park, he leads with intent, has strong tactical instincts, and will bring a fresh perspective to our A Grade side this season.
B-Grade
Jack Shelton
Jack leads our B Grade side this season after co-captaining last year’s premiership-winning team. A lifelong Mariner who has been with the club since juniors, Jack is a great tactician who brings valuable knowledge across batting, bowling, keeping, and fielding. His leadership, experience, and composure make him the ideal person to guide the B Grade squad this year.
C-Grade
Jacob Lawless
Jacob takes on the captaincy in just his second year at the club. Dedicated, hardworking, and respected by his teammates, he has already shown great leadership qualities and fully deserves this opportunity to lead our C Grade side. We’re looking forward to seeing Jacob continue to grow and make his mark as captain.
women’s
Sophie Ransom
Starting out in our C Grade side before our women’s program began, Sophie has grown into a brilliant leader who goes above and beyond for the club both on and off the field. Respected, caring, and always putting her teammates first, she’s the heartbeat of our women’s program.
Her talent backs it up. She was selected in the 2024/25 HCCA Team of the Year, has won the Club Batting Award for the past two seasons, and received the Kettering U18 Scholarship. These achievements highlight her consistency, skill, and passion for the game.
